Wake up! We are Constantly War!

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
I hope you still know that as Soldiers of Christ, we are constantly at War! The forces of evil, led by Satan and his demons, harbor a deep hatred for us. Their sole aim is to destroy us and prevent us from living in the fullness of our dominion through Jesus Christ over them. We are now in the final days of the contention between light and darkness as it reaches its peak; we can no longer afford to be passive or indifferent in our walk with God as Christians. It is time for us to rise up to our place of dominion and authority in Christ Jesus, embrace our calling in Him and consistently function from there as God’s representatives on earth.
Our world today is progressively succumbing to corruption, as the influence of darkness continues to expand its grasp everywhere. It is crucial for us as Christians to develop the spiritual ability to discern the devil’s work, and to familiarize ourselves with his cunning tactics and methods of operation. Failure to do so will render us oblivious to his manipulations, allowing him to exploit us to his advantage.
2 Corinthians 2:11: Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7. We must therefore endeavor to constantly submit ourselves (body, soul and spirit) to God in righteousness, holiness and consecration so we can be able to extend the light of God in us wherever we go. We’re on a mission to shine God’s light and expand the kingdom of our God wherever we go. Matthew 5:5-6.
Our failure to keep submitting ourselves to God will always decrease our spiritual capacity to resist the devil and shine the light of Christ through us. And the more we submit to God increases our spiritual capacity to always resist and rebuke the devil in our war against him. We’re able to truly function as lights in this corrupt world as we consistently submit ourselves (body, soul and spirit) to God in righteousness, holiness and consecration.
We’re not at war against people or anyone… We’re biblically instructed by God to love everyone.
Who or what are we constantly at war against?
We are at war against the lusts of the flesh, the lusts of the eye, the pride of life, the influences and works of the devil in our world today.
Because of the birth, sufferings, death, burial, resurrection and the seated position of our Lord Jesus Christ at the right hand of God; Our position in Christ Jesus is forever established at the place of victory in the heavenlies over every principalities of darkness, powers of darkness, spiritual wickedness and demons. We must constantly grow in the revelation knowledge of God’s word to enforce our positional victory in Christ Jesus here and now in reality on earth.
And hath raised us up together, and hath made us sit together in the heavenly places, through Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:6. The word hath in this verse is past tense. God has already raised us up and made us sit in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
Colossians 3:1b says to “Seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.” Then verse3 says: “You have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.”
So Brethren, your responsibility now is to be active and proactive in your position of victory in Christ Jesus and daily gird up yourself with the armor of God. Because if you don’t, you’ll always be vulnerable to the lusts of the flesh, the influences and works of the devil, and the lusts of this dying world.
More so, living in sin and following the lusts of the flesh and the passions of this dying world will render you inactive and powerless at war against all the influences and works of the devil out there. But by constantly setting your affection on the things above and following the footsteps of our Lord Jesus Christ, you’ll live in dominion over every works of the flesh and of the devil as kings and priests.
To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. Revelation 1:5-6.
God wants us to mature spiritually in Him, so He can do mighty things through us. God doesn’t send babies to war.Apostle encouraged us in 1 Peter 2:2 – “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may growthereby…”. We must keep growing spiritually in the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), the virtues of Christ (2 Peter1:5 – 7), in the whole armour of God (Ephesians 6:13 – 18) and in the gifts of the Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:8-10).
These are our spiritual weapons of warfare which we use from our position of victory in Christ Jesus in our war against the flesh, the influences and works of the devil in these final days. We reign and dominate as kings and priests in Christ Jesus with these weapons over that ancient defeated devil and his demons.
2 Peter 1:5 – 7 “For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.”
Furthermore, in Matthew 13:24-30, Jesus speaks a parable of the wheat and the tares. The Scripture states, “Anotherparable put He forth unto them, saying, The Kingdom of Heaven is likened unto a Man which sowed good seed in thefield. But while men slept, His enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
We must refuse to go to sleep at our duty post in Christ. Anything that tries to cause us to go to sleep spiritually must be treated as an enemy. We must preserve our passion and fire for God by all means. And intentionally resist anything or anyone that tries to short-circuit our burning fire for God.
This is not the time to be spiritually lukewarm or to focus on ourselves only; but to live righteously and be generous with the love of God in our hearts towards others. God has already started pouring out his glory upon those that are diligently seeking Him. And He is deploying many to different spheres of life to reign as kings and expand His Kingdom there. Don’t be found lukewarm!
Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. Isaiah 60:1-2.
For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. Romans 8:19.
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Ephesians 6:10.
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but beof good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33.
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. Romans 8:37.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. He destined us in love to be his sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace which he freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. Ephesians 1.3-6.
Through our relationship with Jesus Christ, we have been given every spiritual blessing; that is, everything that we need in order to live a vibrant, productive and triumphant Christian life. The Holy-Spirit empowers us to live and walk in a distinctly Christian way. And that reflects in how we think, act, collaborate with people, and do our every day jobs.
And finally, what we need is not to necessarily receive more from God, but to do something more with what God has already given us in Christ Jesus. This is the key to an effective, high-impact and triumphant Christian life in our war against the lusts of the flesh and the works of the devil on earth today. It is by learning to constantly take hold of and apply our spiritual blessings and weapons of warfare that we already possess by virtue of our relationship with Jesus Christ that we remain triumphant through Christ spiritually and in the reality of this earthly realm.
“And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.” Acts 2:17.
And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified. Acts 20:32.
